Easy Margarita Mocktail
Taking a break from alcohol doesn't mean you have to miss out on delicious and refreshing beverages when you're out with friends or chilling at home. This simple and tasty mocktail is not only easy to make but also offers a burst of flavors that can rival its alcoholic counterpart.
Let's go through the steps to create your own alcohol-free margarita. Here's how you can make it:
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Lime Juice
- 2 oz Orange Juice
- 1 oz Simple Syrup or Agave
- Ice
- Splash of Club Soda
- Salt or Tajin Seasoning (for rimming)
- Lime wedge (for garnish)
Instructions:
-
Rim your glass with salt or Tajin seasoning. This will give it a hint of tangy flavor.
-
In a shaker cup, combine the following ingredients:
- 2 oz Lime Juice
- 2 oz Orange Juice
- 1 oz Simple Syrup or Agave
-
Fill the shaker cup with ice.
-
Secure the lid on the shaker cup and shake vigorously to blend all the ingredients together.
-
Strain the mixture over fresh ice in the rimmed glass.
-
Add a splash of club soda to give your mocktail a slight fizz and effervescence.
-
Garnish with a lime wedge for a pop of color.
Optional: If you enjoy alcohol-free spirits, you can try making it with zero proof tequila. There are some great options available both online and in local stores. I'm a fan of both Lyre's and Ritual for zero-proof choices.
